Our client an ISO 9001 has been servicing industrial, commercial and institutional buildings customers across Canada for more than 60 years. They do this by working closely with their customers to provide the skills and services that contribute to the ongoing success of their business.
They are currently seeking a Cost Inventory accountant to join their finance team. Reporting to the Controller, your ensure inventory records are accurate; determine most efficient methods
of purchasing inventory items.
YOUR MAIN
RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:

Ensure inventory cost information is accurate within JD Edwards system
Ensure quantity information of inventory is accurate within JD Edwards system, primarily through analysis and ensuring inventory counts are conducted and recorded accurately and at appropriate intervals
Perform analyses to be able to recommend the best practices that should be adopted
in purchasing and sourcing materials
Monitoring movement of the price of raw materials and their anticipated impact on
future material purchases
Prepare month end and year end reconciliations for inventory related accounts in
accordance with the financial close schedule
Participate in systems and process improvements related to the business
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations
Adhere to the Company's Quality System operating procedures
Perform other duties as assigned by Management
YOU
BRING WITH YOU:
College/University graduate
Minimum of 5 years experience in inventory management, procurement or equivalent financial
analytical experience
Proficient computer skills, especially Excel Skills
