Our client
located in mid town Toronto has been providing exceptional
travel experiences for the past 40 years to locations such as
the South Pacific, Asia, Africa and Latin America with branches
in Vancouver, Los Angeles and Sidney Australia. Due to their
explosive growth they are now seeking a Controller to join their
head office. Reporting to the CFO,
YOUR MAIN
RESPONSIBILITIES ARE:
- Maintain accounts for companies in the group, directing
functions for all of the department
- Implement new systems, procedures and technology to
streamline accounting and financial processes
- Coordinate and direct preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Analyze
and interpret statistical and accounting information
- Recommend and implement cost saving strategies
- Establish the department's short and log term objectives and
procedures as well as internal and financial controls for
the company
- Hire,
train and evaluate performance of the accounting department
- Assist
the Management Team in achieving corporate objectives and
procedures
